Laundry presser — Madison County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a laundry presser in Madison County, Arkansas. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. You will meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
