Great opportunity: sand plant operator (Georgia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Talbot County, Georgia. On a typical shift you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Six days a week, one day off.
