Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
