Concrete worker • Gilmer County, West Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a concrete worker in Gilmer County, West Virginia. The role involves cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage 5+ years on the tools preferred.
