Milling machinist • Wabash County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a milling machinist in Wabash County, Illinois. The job is at an automotive components factory. What we are looking for: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to grind and set HSS cutters The role involves machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
