Bread baker — Allegany County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bread baker in Allegany County, Maryland. The job is at a neighbourhood confectionery. What we are looking for: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen The role involves: • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls Six days a week, one day off.
