You should have: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings On the job you will handle: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
