Foundry worker — Lancaster County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts.
