Flatlock machine operator — East Baton Rouge Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go 3+ years on the tools preferred.
