Retail butcher — Union County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a retail butcher in Union County, New Jersey. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day-to-day duties: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain Requirements: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Performance bonus on top of base pay.
