Now hiring: horizontal milling machine operator (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Glasscock County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter Ideal candidate: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $200 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
