Fettler — Gentry County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Gentry County, Missouri. Day to day you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Meals and transport allowance provided.
