Fettler wanted in Rockingham County

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Rockingham County, Virginia. You will work at a busy iron foundry. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
