Sewing machine operator — Dauphin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Your main tasks: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
