Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Harper County, Kansas. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Your main tasks: • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles Requirements: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
