Shakeout operator — Chautauqua County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Chautauqua County, New York. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
