Lathe programmer-operator — Wayne County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Wayne County, Georgia. Day to day you will change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; load and index turning tools in the turret. Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges 5+ years on the tools preferred.
