Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in Champaign County, Illinois. The job is on a structural steel site. The role involves tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
