Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Jasper County, Texas. You will be based at a residential building site. You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks On the job you will handle: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints Full-time with occasional weekends.
