Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Owen County, Indiana. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Full-time, day shift.
