Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Marion County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
