Tower crane operator • Young County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Young County, Texas. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Able to read load charts and lifting plans Your main tasks: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
