Tower crane operator • Saratoga County, New York

Now hiring: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Saratoga County, New York. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. Day to day you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control. You should have: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Full-time with occasional weekends.
