Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Part-time with flexible hours.
