Core maker — Ikere

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Ikere, Ekiti State. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling You will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
