Precision welder — Hinsdale County

Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Hinsdale County, Colorado. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
