Blocklayer — Mid Ulster

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland. You will be based on a busy housing site. You should have: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) You will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £2,200 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
