Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Wilkin County, Minnesota. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
