Ladle pourer • Winnebago County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Winnebago County, Illinois. You will be based on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
