Trainee butcher • Luce County, Michigan

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Luce County, Michigan. You will work in a meat processing plant. The role involves: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Season and marinate meat on request Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
