Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. On a typical shift you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder. Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
