Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Rock Island County, Illinois. The job is at a busy garment factory. You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Part-time with flexible hours.
