Dogger — Yakima County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Yakima County, Washington. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
