Baker — Nottoway County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a baker in Nottoway County, Virginia. You will work at a busy bakery. On the job you will handle: • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Full-time with occasional weekends.
