Presser — Terrell County

Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Terrell County, Georgia. You will be based in a garment export house. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day to day you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
