Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On the job you will handle: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
