Hydraulic crane operator — Northumberland County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Northumberland County, Virginia. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. What we are looking for: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging The role involves: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams We offer $20 per hour plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
