Sand plant operator — Cedar County

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Cedar County, Iowa. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Full-time, day shift.
