Now hiring: lifting rigger (Kogi State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Ijumu, Kogi State. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Day to day you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 6+ years on the tools preferred.
