Vacancy available: shakeout operator (Indiana)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Greene County, Indiana. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. On a typical shift you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
