Fusing press operator wanted in Yancey County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Yancey County, North Carolina. You will work in a busy laundry. On the job you will handle: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
