Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes On the job you will handle: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
