Metal caster — Craig County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Craig County, Virginia. The job is at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Full-time with occasional weekends.
