Structural MIG welder — Contra Costa County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Contra Costa County, California. You will be based on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
