Concrete pump mate — Cedar County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Cedar County, Nebraska. You will work on a high-rise slab pour. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Day-to-day duties: • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength Six days a week, one day off.
