Vacancy available: VMC operator (Louisiana)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a VMC operator in Saint John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a CNC machining unit. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work On the job you will handle: • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
