Urgent requirement: abattoir worker (Rivers State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. You will work at a halal meat counter. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry The role involves break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. ₦600 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts.
