Great opportunity: we are hiring a falsework carpenter in Putnam County, Illinois. The job is at an infrastructure construction site. Requirements: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules The role involves check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
