The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
