Requirements: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Day-to-day duties: • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines Six days a week, one day off.
